Digital Control Systems

Learning goals

The students know the substantial algorithms of digital signal processing and are able to design a digital control. They know how to realize such algorithms together with sequential controls based on multitasking in a microcomputer and know the essential structures and possibilities of a microcomputer.

Course contents

Introduction to Discrete-Time Control Systems, Analog Control in Contrast to Digital Control, Z- Transform Theory, PID-Control Algorithms, Stability of Discrete-Time Control Systems, Deadbeat Control, Modelling in State-Space, Design of State Controllers
