Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related engineering field with GPA of at least 6.5.
  • Passing the VGU Entrance Test.
  • English skills in the upper-intermediate level proved by IELTS 6.0 or equivalent before the start of the Master thesis at the latest and/ or an Onscreen Test result of 80 points by 30.08.2016.

There are three examination rounds per year for the full-time programs in April, June and August accordingly.

The April intake is for students who apply early and can arrange their time to take intensive English classes before the program begins. The June intake is for candidates who have just graduated, and the August intake is for students who apply late (or have failed the June intake) or have not received their Bachelor’s degree early enough in June.

The application and enrollment for Mechatronics and Sensor System Technologies involve several steps.

1. Apply for the program

Online Application: Go to the online registration form, create an account in the VGU's registration system and fill in the online registration form.

After VGU has received your application, you will be notified as soon as possible. If you meet the formal requirements, you will be invited to participate in the VGU Entrance Test.

2. Attend the VGU Entrance Test

The purpose of the Entrance Test is to ensure that only students who have a good chance of being successful are admitted for the program. The Entrance Test takes place shortly after the application deadline.

The Entrance Test comprises of two parts. The first part is a written test for technical subjects. THE SAMPLE TEST FOR TECHNICAL SUBJECTS CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM THIS PAGE.

Besides technical subjects, the Entrance Test also includes an English Test (called the "Onscreen" Test). IELTS or TOEFL score IS NOT REQUIRED in the application process, but if you manage to submit an IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL PBT 550, IBT 79 certificate, the Onscreen Test is not necessary.

After the test, you will soon receive the test result. Successful applicants are eligible to study at VGU.

3. Enroll for study at VGU

Enrollment takes place in September. By then, the tuition fees for the first semester must have already been paid.

4. Start studying at VGU

From September on, you will come to VGU regularly to participate in lectures, seminars and excursions.

  • Round 3: 29.07.2017
