The master program Global Production Engineering and Management is an international program, open for students from Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. The program prepares students for careers in international networks in the area of technology management. Rather than only focusing on business administration, Global Production Engineering and Management enables engineers to create systematic technological innovation combined with efficient and effective industrial business management. The curriculum of Global Production Engineering and Management is designed for outstanding students seeking to improve their personal competence portfolio in the fields of production, management, engineering, and intercultural communication.

Vietnam’s economy has come an extraordinarily long way in a short time. According to the McKinsey Global Institute Vietnam’s manufacturing sector grew at a compound annual growth rate of more than 9 percent from 2005 to 2010. Today, Vietnam's economy faces complex challenges that require changing to a production-oriented growth. To meet the future challenges Vietnam faces, educated engineers and entrepreneurs are indispensable for sustainable growth in the industrial sector. Global Production Engineering and Management´s special focus lies on condensing engineering to sustainable manufacturing considering the given limits of resources.

The gained knowledge and qualification through participation in the study course at the VGU allows graduates to access technology-oriented companies and organizations and enables them to be entrepreneurs. Global Production Engineering and Management graduates are often employed in managerial positions, and act as interface among multinational companies. Its international character is advantageous for international value creation and technology management within a company.

The study program Global Production Engineering and Management was established in 1998 at the TU Berlin under the support of the German Government. The University Partner

The internationally renowned Technische Universität Berlin is located in Germany’s capital city at the heart of Europe.
