The primary purpose of this course is to give participants a sound grounding in macroeconomic theory, building up an understanding of measurement in macroeconomics and developing a framework to analyze the two issues at the core of macroeconomic analysis: economic growth and business cycles. This framework will in turn provide the basis to analyze in this course a number of macroeconomic policy questions and to discuss some of the current macroeconomic issues subject to widespread scrutiny. BWET

The objective of this course is to give the students a general understanding in economic ethics theory, building up an understanding of individual, corporate, governance, and global ethics and developing a framework to analyze its application. This framework will in turn provide the basis to analyze in this course a number of business ethics questions and to discuss some of the current economic ethics issues.[More]

 

 

PFIN

The module covers established financial themes like the evaluation of companies and projects, real options and the discussion about the capital structure of a company. Furthermore, topics will be the coherence between management incentives and financial decisions. Also, there will be a introduction in risk management and Mergers & Acquisitions.[More]

PACC

The course covers principles in accounting and reporting. IFRS is used as a basis to understand the Corporate Governance of financial reporting. An overview of the Framework, Standards and Interpretations is given. For practical insight the financial statements of Daimler AG are used during the course. In addition the course comprises typical business transactions and how they are recorded and disclosed in IFRS financial statements.
