On May 22nd 2012, in its office located at the CentrePoint Building in HCM City, Bayer Vietnam hosted a meeting with students from the Vietnam German University (VGU) who are studying their Bachelor’s Programme in “Finance and Accounting”. Mr. Simon J. Britsch, Bayer Vietnam’s Finance Director and some senior managers in the Finance and Accounting department shared real life experiences about working in the Finance and Accounting area and possible career paths with VGU students. Some experienced HR officers also shared interesting and useful experiences with students, for example: Career Development at Bayer Vietnam. “Our real business information and examples will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed for their current studies and future employment”, said Mr. Simon J. Britsch.
The Vietnamese German University is a Vietnamese public university. Founded in 2008, VGU is based on a close cooperation between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the German State of Hessen. Taking missions given by the Vietnamese government, VGU aims to become a leading research-oriented university in Vietnam and the region. Bayer Vietnam always supports VGU´s approach to import excellent German study programmes and customize them to the needs of Vietnamese higher education. Previously, Bayer Vietnam awarded scholarships worth 600 million VND to talented students in the Master’s programme “Computational Engineering” at VGU.
