VGU is a university project from the Vietnamese and German governments. It is meant to be one of the leading universities in Vietnam with global standards and to train elite engineers for the future economy of Vietnam. Thus, the tuition fees are substantially subsidised by the two governments and very attractive for this level of training.
The tuition fees are around 30 million VND per academic year (2011). The tuition fees become due at the beginning of each semester. This means each semester around 15 million VND is to be paid.
Although around 15 million VND per semester is already a substantially subsidized tuition fee, VGU goes a step further by offering a very generous scholarship scheme based on the performance of the students. Please see the scholarship part for more information.
