Digital Signal Processing

Learning goals

Upon completion of this module, the students will have a basic knowledge of “Digital Signal Processing”. They are able to realize DSP systems including recording and evaluation of the signals. They are able to analyze and synthesize digital signals in time- and frequency domains.

Course contents

  • Sampling of analog signals and AD-conversion 
  • Discrete linear time invariant systems, signal analysis in the time domain 
  • Discrete convolution 
  • Auto and cross-correlation 
  • Signal analysis in the frequency domain, e. g. transformation 
  • Assessment of systems based on the pole-zero placement 
  • Programming examples using high level programming language
