Price for academic year 2016/2017 (from Sep 2016 to Sep 2017)
Bachelor students are offered 4-bed rooms (25m2) or 6-bed rooms (47m2) only. Selection of 4-bed ro 6-bed room is done randomly.

  • 4-bed room or 6-bed room: 450.000 VND/month/student/bed
    Master students are offered 2-bed rooms (25m2) or 4-bed rooms (25m2) or 6-bed rooms (47m2).
  • 4-bed room or 6-bed room: 450.000 VND/month/student/bed
  • 2-bed room: 900.000 VND/month/student/bed
    PhD postgraduates are offered 1-bed rooms (25m2) or 2-bed rooms (25m2) or 4-bed rooms (25m2) or 6-bed rooms (47m2).
  • 4-bed room or 6-bed room: 450.000 VND/month/student/bed
  • 2-bed room: 900.000 VND/month/student/bed
  • 1-bed room: 1.800.0000 VND/month/student/bed

Notice:

  • In case there are vacant rooms, students are encouraged to rent another type.
  • The price above includes:
    • Water, Internet, Security fee.
    • Available furniture for each student: 1 chair, a part of 1 wardrobe, a bed (bunk bed), lights.
    • A bathroom inside and balcony.

Registration

  • New students register right at the time they submit enrolment document.
  • Students of other intakes contact Student Affairs Officer at Dorm for registration on occasion.

Check-in procedure for new students in Dormitory

Based on the registration list collected on the enrolment date, Student Affairs Officer will plan and announce the time, location, arranged room list, procedure for the check-in to students via email. Dorm check-in usually finishes 3 – 5 days before the first date of your study.

Students need to prepare:

  • A copy of bank receipt (payment order slip provided by your bank) proving the payment  for 1 year dormitory fee
  • 6 face pictures (3x4)
  • A copy of ID card for Vietnamese students or passport for international students
  • 10,000 VND for 1-year temporary residential registration fee. International students are not required to pay this fee.

Documents must be filled when moving in:

After filling those documents, students are guided to their rooms to receive keys and sign on the property delivery report.

Services at/around dorm:

  • Shuttle bus from dorm to Binh Duong campus supported by VGU (free of charge). (schedule here)
  • Bus service from Ho Chi Minh City to dorm on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons paid by students:
    • VGU encourages students to use public buses. It is the additional service, totally voluntary and paid by their parents and students who have the demand. Those who want to use this service have to pay the entire fee based on the number of registered users, the estimated price from the suppliers and the estimated routes within a semester in according to the timetable. Student Affairs Office support on bus administration. Usually the price is around from 2.300.000 to 2.900.000 per semester. (schedule here)
    • At the end of each semester, Students Affairs Office sends a financial report to students.
    • Students can register in person at the time of enrolment or send register information to toan.pt@vgu.edu.vn prior to the starting date of each semester.
  • Emergency (introduction of making a phone call in emergency situations here)
  • Free parking with a reasonable fee right at the ground floor of dormitory’s blocks
  • Near VGU’s dormitory, there are food stores, groceries, markets, parks and a sport center, which has football fields, tennis/basketball/badminton court, gym, swimming pool, etc., are available within walking or 3 km distance. (dorm handbook by student views here)
