On 28 February 2017, VGU had the grand pleasure to welcome the visit of the Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF) delegation, represented by Mr. Frithjof A. Maennel, Deputy Director General, “International Cooperation in Education and Research”, and Mr. Mitja Muller, Officer of Division 215, Cooperation with Asia and Oceania. Mr. Andreas Siegel, Consul General, German Consulate General, HCMC and Ms. Anke Stahl, Head of Representative Office of the DAAD program in Hanoi, also accompanied the delegation.
The delegation was welcomed by Acting President, Dr. Ha Thuc Vien, and Vice President, Dr. Mathias Neukirchen. Dr. Vien provided a brief presentation of VGU to the delegation, highlighting VGU’s significant achievements on educational quality, research front, new campus progress, and status of the World Bank funded project extension application.
Mr. Maennel was pleased to learn about the future perspective of VGU’s new campus and the quality of VGU’s education, as proven by the high rate of employment of VGU graduates. Mr. Maennel encouraged VGU to share this news with the public.
Mr. Andreas Siegel was encouraged to learn that VGU is working with local authority and Bosch in the effort to duplicate E-Scooter docking station for which he had attended the Launching Ceremony in the Binh Duong area.
The delegation concluded with a favorable impression about VGU’s laboratory facility and the valuable difference it has made to teaching and research activities, and as a result, the academic quality of VGU graduates.
